Electrical Apprentice

Electrical Apprentice

Are you at the beginning of your electrical career? Patriot Power Electrical is seeking electrical apprentices who are professional and able to assist our electricians with installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems.  As an electrical apprentice, you will be working under the guidance and supervision of a journeyman and licensed electrician, learning the intricacies of the trade through on-the-job training.


How You Will Make An Impact

  • Assist with installation, maintenance, and repair tasks under the supervision of a journeyman or electrician.
  • Carry tools and materials.
  • Assist with cleaning work areas and preparing sites for work.
  • Sort, hand, and distribute electrical parts and equipment.
  • Run wires and cables, either on the surface or through conduits.
  • Perform simple tasks like cleaning electrical components, stripping insulation from wire, and drilling holes.
  • Observe and participate in all safety policies and protocols.
  • Assist in troubleshooting of electrical issues and faults.
  • Learn to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Requires High School Diploma or GED.
  • Six-month work experience post-graduation required.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen OR have the ability to work in the U.S.
  • Ability and willingness to travel, overnight stays may be required.
  • Must be willing to work weekends, if needed.


Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong customer service mindset.
  • Ability to follow instructions closely.
  • Must be able to handle the physical demands of the job. 
  • Ability to interface with all level stakeholders. 
  • Bilingual strongly preferred.

Journeyman

Electrical Apprentice

Electrical Apprentice

Patriot Power Electrical is seeking a skilled journeyman who’s professional and ready to work!  As a journeyman you will be working and partnering with licensed electricians, project managers, and apprentices.


How You Will Make An Impact

  • Manage and execute construction projects, repairs, and maintenance tasks according to industry standards.
  • Read, interpret, and work from blueprints, drawings, or other technical documents.
  • Collaborate and partner with electricians and other team members to complete projects.
  • Inspect and diagnose problems, then deciding the best solution.
  • Provide guidance and supervision to apprentices, ensuring they learn the trade correctly and safely.
  • Adhere to and enforce all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Complete paperwork, such as work orders or inspection reports.
  • Communicate with Patriot Power Electrical clients, other tradespeople, and supervisors, explaining process, problem, and solution in a clear and respectful manner.
  • Proficient knowledge of code and regulation.
  • Share the responsibility in keeping up with changes within industry practices, new products, and updates to regulations and codes.


Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Must have relevant completion of apprenticeship.
  • Valid state license permitting practice as a journeyman electrician.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen OR have the ability to work in the U.S.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability and willingness to travel, overnight stays may be required.
  • Must be willing to work weekends, if needed.


Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Certification from National Inspection Testing and Certification Corporation (NITC) preferred.
  • Experience working in residential and commercial environments strongly preferred.
  • Project management skills preferred.
  • Strong customer service mindset.
  • Strong technical and problem-solving skills strongly preferred.
  • Must be able to handle the physical demands of the job. 
  • Ability to interface with all level stakeholders. 
  • Ability to work effectively with minimum supervision.
  • Bilingual strongly preferred.
